A private sanctuary for nervous system recalibration. Only 7 guests. 3 seasonal retreats per month.
The property sits on the western bank of the Suez Canal, on nearly two acres of land that have been in my family for as long as I can remember. The desert meets the water here and the horizon holds nothing else. At night the only sound is the slow passage of ships, tankers from Singapore, container vessels from Rotterdam, the occasional naval escort, moving through the dark a few hundred meters from where you sleep. By morning the light comes in low and gold across the water, and for a long hour there is no one and nothing to ask anything of you.
The canal was finished in 1869. It took eleven years and tens of thousands of lives to build. Empires fought over it. A war in 1956 nearly went nuclear because of it. Today, more than a century and a half later, roughly twelve percent of all global trade still passes through this single channel of water, and almost no one who passes through has ever stepped off, slept on its banks, or sat with what it actually is.
No one has built a sanctuary here before. There are hotels in Cairo, resorts on the Red Sea, cruises down the Nile. But no one has stopped on the canal itself and asked what it would mean to rest here. Ancient Reset is what happens when someone who grew up on this land comes back to it, and decides to share it with seven people at a time.
Suez Canal, Egypt.
No schedules. No upsells. No decisions.
Guests Only
All-Inclusive

Most wellness retreats are built around a menu. You arrive, you choose, you optimize. The decision making never stops, it just changes shape. By day three you are exhausted in a different way than when you arrived, and by day seven you are wondering what you actually did.
Ancient Reset is built the opposite way. The protocol is fixed. The schedule is set. The food, the sessions, the silences, the cultural days, all of it is designed in advance and delivered without negotiation. Your only job is to be here. Everything else has been decided so that your nervous system, for the first time in years, has nothing to track.
Guided cold plunge and sauna cycles to stimulate circulation and metabolic health.
Daily therapeutic sessions including massage, cupping, and clinical acupuncture.
Ritualistic breathwork and meditation sessions for deep nervous system recalibration.
Guided recovery and mobility sessions designed to release tension without fatigue.
Scheduled quiet periods for reflection and unhurried desert contemplation.
Modern science meets ancient ritual to extend your healthspan.

Our one-acre on-site farm provides all greens, herbs, and vegetables. Fresh seafood is sourced daily from the surrounding seas. We believe in food as medicine, prepared with clinical precision and culinary artistry.
My name is Mahmoud Y. Elguindi. I was born and raised in Egypt, and I have spent roughly half my life in the United States, moving between states, building a career in technology. Twelve years in the field, most of them in executive roles. I still consult.
Somewhere in the middle of all of it I broke. Not dramatically. Quietly, the way most people in this kind of work break. A neck injury that would not heal. Tennis elbow from a job that has nothing to do with tennis. The slow accumulation of a decade of nine to fives that were really seven to elevens, of hustling day in and day out, of telling myself the next quarter would be the one I finally rested.
I tried the places everyone tries. Tulum, Bali, Ibiza, Mykonos, Crete, Cyprus, Bodrum. Beautiful, all of them. I still go back. But I never once arrived in any of them and felt the thing I had gone looking for. The crowds were always there. The prices were always inflated. Off the grid was always somewhere else.
So I went home.
The land Ancient Reset sits on is where I grew up. Almost two acres on the western bank of the Suez Canal, the family home, the place I went back to when my body finally told me to stop. It is the only place in my life that has ever been genuinely quiet. The food is the food I was raised on. The water has been outside that window for as long as I can remember.
I built this for the version of myself who needed it ten years ago and could not find it. If that sounds familiar, you already know whether this is for you.

A private guided morning at the Giza plateau, arranged before the public gates open. You stand inside the Great Pyramid in something close to silence, with a guide who treats it as a place of meaning rather than a photo opportunity. Lunch follows on a terrace overlooking the plateau, with no one rushing you back to a bus.

The largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, recently opened after more than two decades of construction. Your visit is private, guided, and unhurried. We focus on the rooms most visitors miss, the funerary objects, the texts on the soul, the artifacts that speak to what the ancient Egyptians believed about longevity and the body.

One evening of the week is given to a private dinner on the river. A small boat, a quiet table, food prepared by our chef, and the lights of Cairo moving slowly past. No program, no speeches, no other guests. Just the river and the people you are sharing the week with.
Limited to 7 guests per retreat. Secure your placement below.
